The Step by Step Educational Program, in collaboration with UNICEF, finalized the composition of the working group based on the most active participants of the project launch seminar and their previous experience in similar activities. The seminar, organized on November 4–5, 2025 by the Step by Step Educational Program in partnership with UNICEF, gathered representatives of higher education and technical vocational institutions that prepare future teachers for early childhood and preschool education. The Department of Pedagogy and Psychology of the Comrat State University (CSU) was also represented at the event.
The seminar was attended by teaching staff from:
IP College “Vasile Lupu” (Orhei), IP College “Iulia Hașdeu” (Cahul), Comrat College “Mihail Ciachir”, CSU, “Bogdan Petriceicu Hasdeu” State University (Cahul), “Ion Creangă” Pedagogical University (Chișinău), “Alexei Mateevici” College (Chișinău), “Alecu Russo” State University (Bălți), Bălți College, Soroca College.
They completed a training session on introducing modules such as learning through play, socio-emotional development, and interactive reading into the curriculum of the respective disciplines.
During the meeting, participants discussed how to apply innovative practice models in the context of initial teacher training for preschool education — including learning through play, socio-emotional learning, and interactive reading. They also examined the development of curricular materials/products for students-pedagogues using donated bibliographic resources (children’s books).
At CSU, these materials are available in the Center for Didactic Resources in Intercultural Education (Room 202), established within the project “Promotion and Development of Intercultural Education in Initial Teacher Training” (EIC).
